Roadie Support
Roadie helps a learning driver and their supervising adult log
supervised driving hours toward a license.
Getting started
- Add your car under Vehicles. Set its Bluetooth so Roadie can stop a
drive automatically when your phone disconnects from the car.
- Start a drive from the phone, from CarPlay, or from your Apple Watch. Roadie
records your route, distance, and time until you stop or disconnect.
- Set your goal under Settings to track progress toward your state's
supervised-driving requirement.
Hands-free start
- CarPlay: turn on "Start a drive automatically" for your CarPlay
car under Vehicles.
- Bluetooth-only car: follow Settings → Hands-free start
to set up a one-time Shortcuts automation that starts a drive when you connect.
Common questions
- Does a drive keep recording if my phone locks? Yes. Roadie keeps
measuring your route while a drive is in progress, even with the phone locked.
- What if I forget to stop a drive? Roadie stops automatically when
you disconnect from the car, and it also stops a drive left stationary for a while,
trimming the parked time so your hours stay accurate.
- Is my data private? Yes. Your drives stay on your device. See the
Privacy Policy.
